MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544023018 A) filed by Tyco Electronics Co. Ltd.; and Tyco Electronics Technology Co. Ltd., Shanghai, on March 14, for 'connector housing assembly, connector and connector assembly.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a connector housing assembly, a connector and a connector assembly. The connector housing assembly comprises: a housing (10) which has two opposite sides in its transverse direction (X); and a locking lever (11) which is rotatably mounted on the housing (10), adapted to rotate around an axis parallel to the transverse direction (X) between a pre lock position and a final lock position. The locking lever (11) comprises: a pair of force arms (110), whose lower ends are respectively rotatably connected to both sides of the housing (10); and a connecting arm (119) connected between the upper ends of the pair of force arms (110). Support surfaces (10a) perpendicular to a height direction (Z) of the housing (10) are respectively formed on both sides of the housing (10), elastic cantilevers (114) are respectively formed at the lower ends of the pair of force arms (110), the elastic cantilever (114) has a flat pre lock surface (11a). When the locking lever (11) is in the pre lock position, the support surface (10a) of the housing (10) comes into contact with the pre lock surface (11a) of the elastic cantilever (114) to keep the locking lever (11) in the pre lock position. The present invention utilizes the same retaining structure to simultaneously prevent the locking lever from being rotated forward and backward, thereby simplifying the retaining structure of the housing and locking lever."
