MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544023058 A) filed by Tyco Electronics Technology Co. Ltd., Suzhou, China, on March 14, for 'connector blind plug assembly and connector.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a connector blind plug assembly and a connector. The connector blind plug assembly comprises: a shield blocking component (21) suitable for mating with a rear end of a cylindrical shield (4) of a connector, used to block a rear end opening of the cylindrical shield (4) to prevent electromagnetic leakage; and a port blocking component (22) suitable for cooperating with a sealing ring (5) to block and seal a rear port (11a) of an installation hole (11) of a connector housing (1). The connector blind plug assembly (2) can replace a cable assembly (3) of the connector and be inserted into the installation hole (11) of the connector housing (1) to block the installation hole (11) that does not have the cable assembly inserted. In the present invention, the connector blind plug assembly can simultaneously block the rear end opening of the cylindrical shield and the rear port of the installation hole of the housing, and can replace the cable assembly of the connector to block the installation hole that does not have the cable assembly inserted, improving the convenience and flexibility of use."
