MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517098944 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Oct. 14, for 'connector and electronic device comprising same.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This connector may comprise: a receptacle comprising a first fastening portion and a hole positioned to surround ports for a plurality of cables; an inner shell connected to the receptacle; and an outer shell connected to the receptacle by surrounding the inner shell. The inner shell may comprise a first portion comprising a first opening connected to the hole of the receptacle, a second portion comprising a plurality of second openings through which the plurality of cables pass, and a third portion in which the plurality of cables are arranged. The third portion may comprise a third opening through which the plurality of cables are exposed to the outside of the inner shell. The outer shell may comprise a second fastening portion which moves, relative to the outer shell, to be coupled with the first fastening portion so that the outer shell is fastened to the receptacle or to be spaced apart from the first fastening portion so that the outer shell can be separated from the receptacle."
