According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to the technical field of communications, and in particular relates to a configuration receiving method and apparatus, and a configuration reception determining method and apparatus. The configuration receiving method comprises: when moving from a first cell to a second cell and having no available multicast service configuration in the second cell, determining whether to enter a connected state to acquire a multicast service configuration. In the present disclosure, when a terminal moves from the first cell to the second cell, but has no available multicast service configuration in the second cell, the terminal can determine whether to enter the connected state to acquire the multicast service configuration. Therefore, when there are multiple acquisition modes for the multicast service configuration, the terminal can determine a selection mode of acquiring the multicast service configuration, thus avoiding the terminal failing to determine a certain acquisition mode for acquiring the multicast service configuration and thus causing problems in multicast service reception."
