MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617002250 A) filed by Board Of Regents, The University Of Texas System, Austin, U.S.A., on Jan. 8, for 'conductive sensor for a pulmonary artery catheter.'
Inventor(s) include Aslam, Mohammed Imran; Feldman, Marc David; Sanmartin, Luis Alan Diaz; Gruslova, Aleksandra Borisovna; Nolen, Drew Rory; and Valvano, Jonathan Walker.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pulmonary artery catheter system may include a port housing coupled to the catheter and supporting: a right ventricular port, a right atrial port, a pulmonary artery distal lumen, a balloon port, and a volume sensor port. A pulmonary artery catheter system may include a plurality of volume sensors positioned along a length of the catheter and in communication with the volume sensor port."
