MUMBAI, India, April 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311071119 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Oct. 18, 2023, for 'concrete bridge gap filling device.'

Inventor(s) include Sandeep Singh.

The application for the patent was published on April 25, under issue no. 17/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A concrete bridge gap filling device is comprising a platform 1 having a first and a second portions, plurality of wheels 2 attached at first portion of platform 1 via plurality of telescopically operated rod to maneuver the platform 1, an artificial intelligence based camera 3 to capture images of the surrounding, a motorized roller 4 configured with multiple bristles via a pneumatic bar to clean dust and debris from the gap, a motorized slider fabricated between the bar and platform 1 throughout the gap to clean, a chamber 5 stored with bundle of rubber strip is gripped by a pair of extendable clamps to clasp and place within the gap, a motorized cutter to cut the rubber strip, a motorized rotor 6 to fix rubber in the gap via a sealant installed in the housing to fill the gaps in concrete bridge."
