MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517012934 A) filed by Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft Zur Forderung Der Angewandten Forschung E. V., Munchen, Germany, on Feb. 14, for 'concepts for a digital radio signal.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A digital radio signal comprising a first channel for carrying side information, and a second channel for carrying content information, comprises, in the first channel, an alarm status indication, which indicates whether an alarm announcement is active or inactive. A further, digital radio signal comprises content information, and a target group information, which indicates a geographical region for which the content information is dedicated, wherein the target group information is indicative of at least three geographical positions forming a polygon to indicate the geographical region, wherein the at least three geographical positions are coded into the digital radio signal using differential coding."
