MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421014877 A) filed by Reliance Consumer Products Limited, Maharashtra, on Feb. 29, 2024, for 'concentrated detergent composition comprising anionic and sugar surfactant.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Concentrated detergent composition comprising anionic and sugar surfactant The invention relates to concentrated and super-concentrated liquid laundry detergent composition (i.e., premix) suitable for dilution or reconstitution with water by mixing 1 part of the composition (concentrate) with 3 to 6 parts by volume water to form ready-to-use liquid laundry detergent compositions. Disclosed liquid detergent composition comprises: a) 30 to 90 wt% active detergent consisting of: i) linear alkyl benzene sulphonate having ammoniacal counterion; and, ii) sugar surfactant; where the linear alkyl benzene sulphonate having ammoniacal counterion accounts for 25 to 75 parts by weight of the active detergent; b) 1 to 15 wt% of a hydrophilic solvent selected from the group consisting of ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, sorbitol and glycerol; and, c) 1 to 25 wt% water."
