MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102426 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 24, 2025, for 'computer-implemented medical imaging system for brain tumor detection.'
Inventor(s) include Monica Gulati; Dr. Kailash Chandra Juglan; Dr. Sawinder Kaur Vermani; and Dr. Suresh Mani.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A computer-implemented medical imaging system for brain tumor detection, comprising an MRI acquisition module 101 configured to obtain high-resolution, non-invasive brain images integrated with hospital systems for automated workflows, a feature extraction module 102 generates comprehensive texture and frequency features, a hybrid learning module 103 dynamically selects among Support Vector Classifier (SVC), Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Random Forest, and Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) protocols based on dataset characteristics, the feature significance analysis module 104 applies statistical correlation and SHAP analysis to identify key features, a diagnostic decision module 105 integrates CNN and SVC outputs via ensemble classification to provide accurate tumor detection, classification, and confidence levels, the system achieves high accuracy and interpretability, enabling reliable and efficient brain tumor diagnosis in clinical settings."
