MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641001479 A) filed by Centurion University Of Technology And Management, Nellimarla, Andhra Pradesh, on Jan. 6, for 'computed tomography scan simulation system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A Computed Tomography scan simulation system, comprising a mobile and vertically adjustable patient table 101 is provided with a gantry 102, where the gantry 102 is configured to rotationally carry a load around the patient table 101 to simulate the rotation of detectors, a user interface is installable on a computing unit for controlling the CT scan simulation in accordance with input scanning parameters, a patient information module 401 receives, stores, and manages patient-related data, a CT scanner control module 402 receives scanning parameters and accordingly operate the patient table 101 and the gantry 102 to simulate scanning based on the received parameters, a case preview module 403 enables preview of the output of the simulated scan in a plurality of formats with overlaid annotations, a safety shut-off switch 103 is accessible to immediately halt the scanning process if required."
