MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511114704 A) filed by IIMT College of Engineering, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 20, 2025, for 'compressor-based booth multiplier system and method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a compressor-based Booth multiplier system (100) comprising: a partial product generator (102) configured to receive input operands (A, B) and generate Booth-encoded partial products; a gates and adder (104) stage operatively coupled to the partial product generator and configured to perform initial addition and logical manipulation of the partial products; a compressor (106) and adder stage comprising a plurality of 4:2 inexact compressors arranged to reduce the partial product tree with minimized switching activity; an error corrector circuit (108) configured to compensate for inaccuracies introduced by the inexact compressors; and an exact compressor and final adder (110) stage configured to produce a final product output with controlled approximation and improved computational accuracy."
