MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511103996 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Oct. 29, 2025, for 'compost methane scrubber cartridge.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Vandana Gupta; and Govind Shukla.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a compost methane scrubber cartridge for controlled filtration and regeneration of gas streams in composting operations. The compost methane scrubber cartridge comprises a support housing configured to define an enclosure for cartridge insertion and retention, a cartridge body supported within the support housing and configured with axial channels and chevron baffles adapted to enforce cross-mixing of flowing gas, a conductive grid assembly embedded within the cartridge body and operatively connected through spring tab contacts to a regeneration driver for anodic activation, and a humidification spine supported within the cartridge body and adapted to wick moisture from a reservoir to maintain biofilm viability."
