MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517121295 A) filed by Sanofi Pasteur Inc., Swiftwater, U.S.A., on Dec. 3, 2025, for 'compositions for use in treatment of acne.'

Inventor(s) include Arnaud Barbe, Nadge; Casimiro, Danilo; Karlsson, Andreas; Legastelois, Isabelle; Mistretta, Nolle; Renauld, Genevive; Mohamed Rokbi, Bachra; Tran, Khang; and Wu, Monica.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention relates to compositions (e.g. immunogenic compositions) which can be used to immunise against C. acnes. The compositions comprise C. acnes antigens and antigen combinations, used in the form of nucleic acids (e.g. mRNAs) encoding antigenic proteins or in the form of recombinant protein antigens."

The patent application was internationally filed on May 03, 2024, under International application No.PCT/IB2024/000226.
