MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517074079 A) filed by Corbet Scientific, Llc, Jackson, U.S.A., on Aug. 4, for 'compositions for enhancing irrigation efficiency and methods of use thereof.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a method of irrigating a plant growth medium. This method involves providing a plant growth medium; blending water with an irrigation additive composition to form an irrigation water composition, said irrigation additive composition comprising: (i) 30.0 to 80.0 wt% of a thickener; (ii) 0.5 to 5.0 wt% of a water soluble divalent salt; (iii) 0.5 to 5.0 wt% of a foam control agent; (iv) 5.0 to 60.0 wt% of a metal ion complexing agent; and (v) 0.5 to 5.0 wt% of a film forming agent; and irrigating the plant growth medium with the irrigation water composition. Also disclosed are irrigation water compositions, compositions suitable for growing plants, and methods of improving plant growth conditions."

The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 04, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/010320.
