MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517092558 A) filed by Novocure Gmbh, Baar, Switzerland, on Sept. 26, for 'compositions, systems, and methods for treating cancer using tumor treating fields and killer cells.'

Inventor(s) include Kan, Tal; and Barsheshet, Yiftah.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Compositions, systems, and methods for reducing viability of cancer cells and treating cancer, as well as preventing an increase of volume of a tumor present in a body of a living subject, are disclosed. The systems and methods involve application of an alternating field concurrently with administration of at least one composition comprising at least one killer cell (such as, but not limited to, at least one natural killer (NK) cell or at least one cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cell)."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 28, 2024, under International application No.PCT/IB2024/053054.
