MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617005042 A) filed by Agriculture Victoria Services Pty Ltd.; and Horticulture Innovation Australia Limited, Victoria, Australia, on Jan. 19, for 'compositions, methods and devices for control and monitoring insects.'
Inventor(s) include Farnier, Kevin Roland Robert; Cunningham, John Paul; and Madge, David.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a composition for attracting Carpophilus truncatus beetles, wherein the composition preferably includes one or more pheromone compounds produced by a male beetle of the species Carpophilus truncatus. The present invention also relates to kits, methods and apparatus for attracting, trapping and monitoring for Carpophilus truncatus beetles."
