MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517090422 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd.; and IUCF-HYU (Industry-University Cooperation Foundation Hanyang University), Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 22, 2025, for 'composition for forming gel polymer electrolyte, gel polymer electrolyte, and lithium secondary battery comprising gel polymer electrolyte.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a composition for forming a gel polymer electrolyte, comprising: a lithium salt; an organic solvent; and a crosslinking compound represented by chemical formula 1. [chemical formula 1] In chemical formula 1, L1, L2, L3, and L4 are each independently selected from a direct bond or an alkylene group of 1 to 3 carbon atoms; L5 and L6 may each be an alkylene group of 1 to 20 carbon atoms in which an ether group is substituted for at least one methylene group and fluorine is substituted for at least one hydrogen; and R1 and R2 are each independently selected from hydrogen, an alkyl group of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or a halogen."
