MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517046968 A) filed by Ningde Amperex Technology Limited, Fujian, China, on May 15, for 'composite current collector, positive electrode sheet, electrochemical device, and electric apparatus.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided in the present application are a composite current collector, a positive electrode sheet, an electrochemical device, and an electric apparatus. The composite current collector comprises a metal substrate layer and a functional layer located on the surface of the metal substrate layer, wherein according to the analysis of the functional layer by using an energy spectrometer, based on the total number of atoms of C, O and metal elements in the functional layer, the atomic percentage content of C in the functional layer is x, the atomic percentage content of O in the functional layer is y, and the atomic percentage content of the metal elements in the functional layer is z, satisfying 5% = x = 25%, 10% = y = 30%, and 55% = z = 85%. By disposing the functional layer with specific element content on the surface of the metal substrate layer, the coverage of the coating on the surface of the composite current collector can be effectively improved while the electrical performance is ensured, such that the safety of an electrochemical device is improved."
