MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026106 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'compactible plantlets nurturing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Tejinder Pal Singh Brar; Dr. Inderpreet Kaur; Gautam Pareek; and Garima.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A compactible plantlets nurturing device, comprising a cylindrical body 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, wherein plurality of extendable links, a motorized iris lids 2 arranged on surface on the body 1 that is accessed by a user for accommodating a potted plant, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 is installed on the body 1 to determine dimensions of the pots, a motorized gripper 4 installed inside the body 1 to acquire a grip on the pot, a covering unit 5 arranged on the body 1 for providing shade to the plant from the intensity of light in order to prevent spoilage of the plants, an anemometer 6 installed on the body 1 for monitoring velocity of wind in surrounding of the body 1 and a multi-sectioned container 7 assembled inside the body 1 for dispensing a required fertilizer stored in the container 7 in the pot."
