MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517050867 A) filed by Moving Magnet Technologies, Besancon, France, on May 27, for 'compact two-phase motor.'
Inventor(s) include Billet, Lionel; and Laforge, Damien.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a two-phase brushless electric motor consisting of a rotor (10) and a stator (20), the stator (20) consisting of a stack of cut ferromagnetic laminations having two teeth (21, 22) each extending along a median radial axis (A1, A2), the median radial axes (A1, A2) being coplanar, the cross-section of the stator being inscribed within a rectangle having a length L1 and a width L2, each of the teeth (21, 22) being surrounded by a coil (31, 32), the rotor (10) comprising three, four or five pairs of magnetic poles which are radially magnetised in alternating directions, characterised in that the median radial axes (A1, A2) form an angular sector (a1) therebetween that extends over an angle of between 145 and 180 and in that the stator (20) has at least one mechanical and magnetic continuity (41, 42) extending between the two wound teeth (21, 22)."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 29, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/083616.
