MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541125154 A) filed by Stanley College Of Engineering & Technology For Women, Hyderabad, Telangana, on Dec. 11, 2025, for 'community mesh wifi network for reliable low cost rural connectivity.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. C Kishore Kumar Reddy; Dr. Guntha Karthik; V. Swetha; Dr. V. Maheshwar Reddy; and Dr. V. Mythreye.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a Community Mesh Wi-Fi Network designed to provide reliable, low-cost broadband connectivity in rural and underserved regwns. The system comprises multiple low-cost mesh nodes that autonomously form a decentralized, self-healing wireless network. Each node communicates with neighbouring nodes using intelligent rouling algorithms, thereby creating multiple redundant paths that enhance network stability and coverage. The invention integrates adaptive routing, dynamic bandwidth control, and real-time link-quality monitoring to ensure continuous connectivity even under intermittent power or backhaul limitations. The nodes operate using low-cost hardware supported by solar-powered energy systems, makmg the solutwn sustainable and practical for remote rural environments. The mesh dynamically adjusts its topology, power consumption, and data flow to maintain optimal performance under varying environmental and network conditions. A community-operated dashboard enables easy nelwork rnanagement, troubleshooting, and usage monitoring without requiring technical expertise. The system further incorporates multi-layer security, local content caching, and hybrid backhaul integration including satellite or cellular links. The invention significantly reduces deployment cost, increases network resilience, and empowers rural communities with dependable inlernet access for education, government services, commerce, and communication."
