The communication method comprises: a UE determining related information of N CGs configured for the UE in one data transmission period, the related information of the N CGs comprising starting moments corresponding to the N CGs, respectively, and wireless resources corresponding to the N CGs, respectively, and N being a positive integer; and sending notification information according to the related information of the N CGs, the notification information being used for notifying a network element that a target CG in the N CGs in one data transmission period included in a target CG configuration is not used by the UE, or the notification information being used for notifying the network element to increase the number of CGs in one data transmission period included in the target CG configuration. Therefore, the network element can master the use requirement of the UE for the CG according to the notification information, such that subsequently, the network element can reasonably manage resources according to the notification information, such as re-scheduling wireless resources or adding wireless resources to the UE, that is, the rationality of CG configuration performed for the UE can also be improved."
