MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202537100112 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Oct. 16, for 'communication method and communication apparatus.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application provides a communication method and a communication apparatus. In the communication method, ports for transmitting an SRS can be divided into P groups, the SRS can be transmitted according to at least one comb offset in a first comb offset set corresponding to the p-th group of ports among the P groups of ports, and different port groups can correspond to different comb offset sets. In this way, the CO step sizes by which the ports in different port groups can hop can be different, so that the probability of CO repetition with the ports of a UE incapable of CO hopping can be reduced, thereby reducing the interference of transmitting the SRS."
