The method comprises: a terminal to be positioned acquires the identifier of a core network device; and the terminal to be positioned sends first information to a plurality of auxiliary terminals, the first information being used for instructing the auxiliary terminals to send measurement data to the core network device, the measurement data comprising sidelink positioning measurement data between each auxiliary terminal and the terminal to be positioned, and the measurement data sent by the plurality of auxiliary terminals being used by the core network device to calculate the location of the terminal to be positioned. According to the communication method provided by embodiments of the present application, the plurality of auxiliary terminals can participate in positioning a same terminal to be positioned, thereby improving the positioning precision for the terminal to be positioned."
