MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527088625 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Sept. 17, for 'communication method and communication apparatus.'

Inventor(s) include Hu, Mengshi; Gan, Ming; Mao, Zhi; and Yu, Jian.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application relates to the field of communications, and in particular, to a PPDU transmission method and a communication apparatus. The solution can be applied to a WLAN system supporting an IEEE 802.11ax next generation Wi-Fi protocol, such as 802.11be, Wi-Fi 7 or EHT, and 802.11 series protocols such as 802.11be next generation and Wi-Fi 8 and can also be applied to a UWB-based wireless personal area network system and a sensing system. In the method, the ratio of the spacing of subcarriers used for transmitting a first part of a first PPDU to the spacing of subcarriers used for transmitting a first part of a second PPDU is different from the ratio of the spacing of subcarriers used for transmitting a second part of the first PPDU to the spacing of subcarriers used for transmitting a second part of the second PPDU, and the first PPDU and the second PPDU are respectively transmitted at high frequency and low frequency. Thus, better high-frequency PPDU transmission performance is achieved."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 13, 2024, under International application No.PCT/CN2024/081426.
