MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517089634 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Sept. 19, for 'communication method and communication apparatus.'
Inventor(s) include Yang, Mao; Yan, Zhongjiang; Li, Yunbo; and Yu, Jian.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application provides a communication method and a communication apparatus. The present application can be applied to wireless local area network systems supporting 802.11 series protocols such as IEEE 802.11ax next-generation Wi-Fi protocols, e.g., 802.11be, Wi-Fi 7, or EHT, and 802.11be next-generation Wi-Fi protocols, e.g., Wi-Fi 8, UHR, and Wi-Fi AI. The method can be applied in a TXOP of a first access point. The first access point sends first indication information to indicate to and inform a first station that if the first station currently has low-latency data waiting to be transmitted, reporting can be performed, so that when the first station has an urgent low-latency service, the first station can have the opportunity to feedback the situation to the first access point, and then the first access point can also determine, according to the feedback of the first station, whether to allow preemptive transmission by the first station in a subsequent process. The method can improve the performance of low-latency services and avoid wasting of channel resources."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 05, 2024, under International application No.PCT/CN2024/080143.
