Research Institute; and China Mobile Communications Group Co. Ltd., Beijing, on July 19, for 'communication method and apparatus network device terminal device and storage medium.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to the technical field of communications. Disclosed are a communication method and apparatus a network device a terminal device and a storage medium. The method comprises: an MN sends an RRC reconfiguration message to a terminal device. The RRC reconfiguration message comprises at least one of the following: at least one or at least one set of secondary node (SN) count values configured for each candidate PSCell and/or each candidate SCG; at least one or at least one set of SN count values configured for all candidate PSCells and/or all candidate SCGs of the SNs; and at least one or at least one set of SN count values configured for all candidate PSCells and/or all candidate SCGs. According to the present disclosure a new key can be determined according to an SN count value and the new key is used so that the communication security between a terminal device and an SN is improved; and a plurality of SN count values are configured in an RRC reconfiguration message so that the signaling overhead for subsequently updating the SN count values can be reduced."
