MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202637043109 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on April 4, for 'communication method and apparatus.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A communication method and apparatus, used for improving the MCS selection efficiency. The method comprises: a first device generates first signaling, the first signaling comprising information of an MCS mode and information of a target MCS, the MCS mode corresponding to a plurality of candidate MCSs, the target MCS being determined from among the plurality of candidate MCSs, and the target MCS comprising a modulation mode corresponding to each of a plurality of spatial streams between the first device and a second device; and the first device sends the first signaling to the second device. When the first device selects an MCS, the MCS can be selected from among the plurality of candidate MCSs corresponding to the MCS mode, and the MCS mode corresponds to a limited number of the plurality of candidate MCSs, so that the MCS selection efficiency of the first device can be improved."
