According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments of the present application provide a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a terminal device receives first information from a network device, wherein the first information is used for indicating configuration information of time-frequency resources, the configuration information of the time-frequency resources includes configuration information of a first time-frequency resource and configuration information of a second time-frequency resource, the first time-frequency resource is used for interference measurement of a first geographic coverage area, the second time-frequency resource is used for interference measurement of a second geographic coverage area, and the second geographic coverage area is a partial area within the first geographic coverage area; and the terminal device performs interference measurement on the basis of the configuration information of the time-frequency resources. By means of the method, interference measurement can be effectively achieved to solve interference problems in communication, and additionally, the resource overhead occupied by the interference measurement process can be reduced."
