MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517093000 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Sept. 27, for 'communication method and apparatus.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application provides a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a terminal device sends a first message to a network device, the first message being used for indicating a plurality of time units expected by the terminal device, the plurality of time units comprising M conflicting time units, and M being an integer greater than or equal to 2. The first message comprises first indication information, and the first indication information is used for indicating to reserve some of the M time units, or the first indication information is used for indicating to reserve all of the M time units. According to the method disclosed by the present application, the presence or absence of the first indication information is used for indicating to the network device that all or some of the conflicting time units need to be reserved, so that usable time units are prevented from being discarded and unusable time units are prevented from being present, thereby avoiding resource waste and system throughput reduction."
