MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517091543 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Sept. 24, for 'communication method and apparatus.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application provides a communication method and apparatus, relating to the technical field of communications. The method comprises: a first device sending capability information to a second device, so that the second device can send control information to the first device according to the capability information, wherein the control information is used for indicating that a first ML model corresponding to a first MNF on the first device is allowed to be trained. Therefore, the first device can train the first ML model according to the control information. In this way, the first device can autonomously judge whether practical application of the first ML model meets current network or service performance or not, and the control information configured by the second device can be made to meet capability of the first device, so that the problem that ML model training fails due to the fact that the control information exceeds capability range of the first device and the network and service performances cannot be guaranteed in time is solved."
