MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202537066961 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on July 14, for 'communication method, network device, and terminal device.'

Inventor(s) include Zhang, Yanqing; and Li, Xueru.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application provides a communication method, which comprises: receiving, by a first terminal device, first downlink data from a network device via a first link; decoding, by the first terminal device, the first downlink data to obtain a first decoding result; and sending, by the first terminal device, first information to a second terminal device via a second link, wherein the first information comprises first hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) information, and the first HARQ-ACK information is used for indicating the first decoding result. The first link is a link between the first terminal device and the network device, and the second link is a link between the first terminal device and the second terminal device. The first terminal device feeds back the HARQ-ACK information of the downlink data to the second terminal device. This can avoid the situation that the first terminal device directly feeds back the HARQ-ACK information of the downlink data to the network device, thereby reducing the uplink communication overhead of the first terminal device."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 29, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/134951.
