MUMBAI, India, April 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517025621 A) filed by Panasonic Holdings Corporation, Osaka, Japan, on March 20, for 'communication device, communication control method, and communication system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A communication device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is in a communication system in which multi-hop communication is performed, and comprises: a detection unit that detects that a master device in the communication system is in a communication-disabled state; and a determination unit that, when the master device is in the communication-disabled state, determines whether the communication device is to serve as a surrogate master device, on the basis of the position of the communication device in a relay route in the communication system."
