MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025629 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 28, 2024, for 'common rail glue feeding device for manufacturing cards.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A common rail glue feeding device for manufacturing cards comprises of a frame 1 positioned over a paper roll carding machine and configured with pair of suction cups 2 for gripping surface of the carding machine firmly, a camera 4 mounted on the frame 1 for detecting exact location and position of calendar roller 3 wrapped with paper strips present on the carding machine, a laser emitter for projecting a laser light on the position of carding machine and a pair of telescopically operated rods 6 to get extended for positioning a horizontal bar at a height from the calendar roller 3, a touch interactive display panel 8 to give input commands regarding actuation of the device, a nozzles for dispensing a particular adhesive liquid in between the paper rolls, and a motorized sliding unit 5 for providing linear movement to the channel 7."
