MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421036975 A) filed by Awadhoot Ramchandra Amrute, Thane, Maharashtra, on May 10, 2024, for 'colour filtar of camera picture element and methode of use.'
Inventor(s) include Awadhoot Ramchandra Amrute.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention is related to a pixel (picture element) for the camera. Basically, the present invention relates to a colour filter, which is part of a picture element (pixel). It is use in the camera which takes 5 photographs or moving pictures (videos). The invention relates to a colour filtration technique (method) tvhich filters the colour and passes to the camera's light receiving sensor. The present colour filter filters all colour shades, coming from an environment. The picture element is made up of colour filter layers and light receiving sensor. The colour filter layers is filtering colour and passes to the light receiving sensor (light receptors or photosites). The present colour filter of the picture element increases pixel density substantially 10 more than existing technology. The present pixel technology increases the resolution of the camera without corresponding increase in the dimensions of the camera sensor (light receiving sensor). The present picture element does not require any kind of fixed colour layer or RGB (red green blue) colour layer, which is used in existing picture element to filter colour. It is filter colour by variable colour filter, and filtering colour is set by the user. The filtering colour is controlled by the electrical current and voltage, and it is controlled by the user."
