MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517075830 A) filed by Sekisui Chemical Co. Ltd., Osaka, Japan, on Aug. 8, for 'colored adhesive tape.'

Inventor(s) include Kuroda Kenjiro; Murata Yoshitsuna; Uchida Noriyuki; Ooshiro Akiyuki; and Kawamoto Tomoya.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a colored adhesive tape having a more uniform surface and a stable gloss value. For said purpose, the present invention provides a colored adhesive tape (1) in which a release film (6), an adhesive layer (5), a colored layer (4), a resin film layer (3), and a matte layer (2) are laminated in this order, wherein: the matte layer (2) contains a polyester resin, an isocyanate, and a matting agent as principal components, the matting agent containing silica, and has a thickness of 0.5-3 m; and the colored layer (4) is composed of a layer containing a resin, an isocyanate, and a pigment containing carbon black as principal components."

The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 29, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/002565.
