MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641061974 A) filed by Sri Krishna College Of Engineering And Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on May 15, for 'collapsible high-temperature resistant inspection window system for industrial applications.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. S. Balasubramani; Raghul C; Nirmal M; Sanjay Malaisamy R; and Shabir Ahamed S.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Collapsible High-Temperature Resistant Inspection Window System and Method Abstract The present invention relates to a collapsible high-temperature resistant inspection window system and method for industrial applications, particularly in cement plant equipment such as Suspension Preheater Modules. The system comprises a reinforced frame assembly (10) mounted on an industrial structure, and a collapsible panel (14) operatively connected through a hinge mechanism (16) enabling controlled opening and closing. A high-temperature gasket (18) is disposed between the frame assembly (10) and the collapsible panel (14) to provide an airtight seal, while a locking mechanism (22) ensures secure closure during operation. The invention further includes a self-adjusting thermal compensation unit (24) configured to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction, thereby maintaining sealing integrity and structural stability. The method involves controlled locking, sealing, collapsing, and reopening of the panel (14) without complete disassembly. The invention improves safety, reduces downtime, and enhances durability and efficiency in high-temperature industrial environments."
