MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521133094 A) filed by Powerarch Technologies Ip Private Limited, Nagpur, Maharashtra, on Dec. 29, 2025, for 'collapsible and reusable trapezoidal modular truss for supporting curved tubular formwork.'
Inventor(s) include Chetan Tryambakrao Pawar.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A reusable trapezoidal truss module (2) for temporarily supporting a large-diameter (300-1200 mm) curved tubular stay-in-place formwork (1) during transportation, erection, concrete filling and curing of arch bridges of span 10-100 m. The module has a longer top chord (28) than bottom chord (27), with vertical posts (30) of equal length welded to the bottom chord at ends toward center, thereby imparting gradually increasing effective height and enabling a plurality of modules placed end-to-end on straight foundation blocks to collectively form a precise parabolic or circular arch profile (Fig. 4, Fig. 12). All site connections are exclusively bolted through cleat brackets (33-36), using removable high-strength bolts (49-52, 55, 66) with no site welding. The module is convertible between a collapsed flat transport configuration (Fig. 3) and a rigid load-bearing configuration by detachable locking struts (23, 24) secured via fastener assemblies (49-52, 55, 66). Complete on-site disassembly and 100 % reuse is achieved using only hand tools."
