MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517059406 A) filed by Posco Co. Ltd., Gyeongsangbuk, Republic of Korea, on June 20, for 'cold-rolled steel sheet for hot forming with excellent bendability, hot-formed member, and manufacturing methods therefor.'
Inventor(s) include Lee, Sea-Woong; Oh, Jin-Keun; Kim, Seong-Woo; Kim, Sang-Heon; Lee, Sang-Cheol; and Kim, Jong-Tae.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An aspect of the present invention aims to provide a steel material for hot forming, a hot-formed member using same, and a manufacturing method therefor, wherein the steel material is suitable for automotive parts requiring impact resistance and possesses a strength of as high as or higher than 1,800 MPa on the basis of tensile strength standard while securing high bendability."
