MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115792 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 23, 2025, for 'cognitive alert system for risk indication in industrial and mining environments and working method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. Vishal Choudhary; Ms. Khushbu Malviya; and Harshit Singhal.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a cognitive alert system for risk indication in industrial and mining environments that integrates environmental sensing, physiological monitoring, predictive analytics, and adaptive communication for real-time worker safety. The system comprises a smart headgear equipped with gas, temperature, humidity, light, and vibration sensors; a wearable wristband for monitoring oxygen saturation and heart rate; and a LoRa-based communication module coupled with an ultra-wideband (UWB) localization unit. An embedded microcontroller employs machine learning algorithms for anomaly detection and early hazard prediction, while an adaptive illumination subsystem automatically adjusts light intensity based on ambient brightness. Operational data are transmitted to a secure cloud platform for visualization, analytics, and long-term safety assessment. The invention ensures proactive risk mitigation, reliable connectivity in network-limited environments, and continuous situational awareness, thereby enhancing occupational safety through predictive, data-driven intelligence."
