MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517096069 A) filed by V-Nova International Limited, London, on Oct. 6, for 'coding video data on a gpu.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "There is provided a method of pre-processing input data prior to processing the input data on a GPU using one or more tensor operations. The input data comprises image data and image processing data. The method comprising: receiving the image data, wherein the image data has a first data type; identifying the image processing data to be used to process the image data, wherein the image processing data has a second data type; identifying that the first data type and the second data type are different; and converting at least one of the data type of the image data or the data type of the image processing data to a third data type such that both the image data and the image processing data have a same data type supported by the GPU for the one or more tensor operations."
