MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026009 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'coconut tree ascending device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A coconut tree ascending device comprises of a platform 1 carved with a semi-circular cavity is developed to be positioned in contact with bark of a coconut tree, a microphone is positioned on the platform 1 for enabling a user to give voice commands regarding height up-till which the user desires to reach on the tree, a pair of C-shaped extendable clamps 2 configured with a first and second portion of the platform 1 via a pair of bars, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 mounted on the platform 1 for capturing multiple images of the user, for detecting the user's height, a pair of extendable rectangular members installed with the platform 1 for allowing the user to position feet as means of support."
