MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514024412 A) filed by Exedy Corporation, Osaka, Japan, on March 19, for 'clutch device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "It is intended to prevent a support plate from being abraded. The present clutch device includes a first rotor, a second rotor, a support plate, a coil spring, and a spring seat. The first rotor includes a pillar portion extending to a first side in an axial direction. The second rotor is disposed to be movable with respect to the first rotor in the axial direction. The support plate is attached to the pillar portion. The coil spring is disposed between the second rotor and the support plate in the axial direction. The coil spring is disposed away from the pillar portion at an interval in a circumferential direction. The spring seat is disposed between the coil spring and the support plate. The spring seat extends along the support plate in the circumferential direction. The spring seat has an annular shape."
