MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514079933 A) filed by Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Aug. 22, 2025, for 'clutch control device and saddle riding vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Masazumi Naito; Kenichi Nakano; Junya Ono; Daichi Ishii; and Keigo Yoneda.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "To ensure a space for user's legs, and increase the degree of flexibility in installation of a clutch control device. [Solution] A clutch control device includes: a release shaft 60 that actuates a clutch device 51; a clutch lever shaft 81 to which manual operation is input; and a second driven gear 89 that functions as an actuator actuating member to which a driving force of a clutch actuator 71 is input. The release shaft 60 is rotated by the clutch lever shaft 81 and the second driven gear 89. The clutch lever shaft 81 is arranged to be offset from an axis CR of the release shaft 60 in an axial radial direction."
