MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541112674 A) filed by Sri Eshwar College Of Engineering, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Nov. 14, 2025, for 'cloud-based airport mobile api access system for switched-off devices with robust security features.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Mobile devices are becoming an essential part of travel; enable passengers to instant access to flight information like checking flight status and to stay connected with people. However, when mobile devices are switched off or out of battery, passengers are often left into trouble without access to mandatory information. To address this issue, cloud based airport mobile API access system is used to implement secure and convenient access to airport services hen device is switched-off. The main objective of this work is to design and develop a cloud-based mobile API access system that integrates AWS IAM authentication and authorization system to ensure the robust and secure access to airport service to protect sensitive traveler information. Scalable and reliable API gateway can be implemented using containerization and orchestration. In addition, security and compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations are also considered in this proposed system."
