MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013452 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'clothing template graving device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A clothing template graving device, comprising a body 1 carved with a handle 2 clasped by a user for maneuvering body 1, a screen 3 to input details regarding type of pattern to be engraved and location of pattern over clothing, an imaging unit 4 detects clothing, a projection unit 5 projects light over clothing as per user-selected location to notify user for moving body 1 over projected area, a pusher 7 extend/retract for scrubbing clothing via a plate 6 for engraving pattern over clothing, a textile sensor determines type of fabric of clothing accordingly operation of pusher 7 is controlled to exert appropriate force over plate 6 to eliminate chances of any damage to clothing, multiple pins 8 attached beneath body 1, activated in case of user-selected design is dotted pattern, to extend/retract with a force for engraving dotted pattern over clothing."
