MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117063 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'clothes drying device.'
Inventor(s) include Sandeep Kumar Jain.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A clothes drying device comprising a frame 101 with multiple horizontal rods 102 for suspending clothes, omnidirectional wheels 103 for mobility, input means for receiving user commands, moisture sensors integrated within rods 102 to detect wetness levels, a microcontroller for processing sensor data, a visual monitoring unit for analyzing drying conditions, a weather detection unit with IoT module for fetching atmospheric data including humidity and rain forecasts, a motorized retractable cover 105 wrapped over a motorized spool 106 for protecting clothes, grippers 107 for holding cover ends, motorized sliding unit 108 for moving cover, UV and temperature sensors for detecting sunlight and precipitation, motorized rollers 109 with protective side sheets 110 for lateral protection, a reflector 111 mounted via ball and socket joint for optimizing sunlight reflection, load sensors beneath rods 102 for measuring weight of clothes and tracking drying progress."
