MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019214 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 4, for 'clothes desiccating assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A Clothes desiccating assistive device, comprising a pair of frames 101 connected via a pair of plates 102 from lateral sides, developed to be positioned on a ground surface, multiple motorized wheels 103 are arranged underneath frames 101, each via a rod 104, for providing movement to frame 101 over surface, multiple links 105 arranged in between plates 102 and configured with multiple motorized clippers 106 that grip cloth's ends, an imaging unit 107 determine position of a cloth in proximity to clippers 106, two motorized sliders 109 provide translation to flap 108 for deploying over rods, in view of covering frames 101, to protect clothes from rainy weather, an air blower 110 installed in frames 101 for facilitating in desiccation of clothes, a motorized sliding unit 111 integrated in between clippers 106 and rods for translating clippers 106 to adjust clothes' position, thereby aiding in efficient drying of clothes."
