MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441076729 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 9, 2024, for 'cloth measuring tape unwrapping and unwrapping device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cloth measuring tape unwrapping and unwrapping device comprisesof rectangular body 1 connected with a pair of plates 2 developed to accommodate a cloth measuring tape, a microphone 3 to give voice commands for coiling the tape on the body 1, a speaker 4 arranged on the body 1 for notifying the user to position a free-end of the tape in contact with a motorized clipper 5 arranged with the body 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 arranged with one of the plates 2 for detecting exact location of the tape, a telescopically operated gripper 7 arranged with one of the plates 2 for firmly gripping the tape, and an elliptical-shaped motorized slider 8 configured between the gripper 7 or plate for translating the gripper 7."
