MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022906 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 23, 2024, for 'cloth ironing assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cloth ironing assistive device, comprises a U-shaped extendable frame 1 installed with an artificial intelligence based image capturing module 2 for determining dimension of sleeve or trouser and accordingly frame 1 extend to accommodate sleeves or legs of in a proper manner as detected by plurality of touch sensors integrated within body, plurality of motorized clippers 3 grip sleeves and leg of trouser to stretch fabric of sleeves and legs of trousers, a fabric sensor works in synced with image capturing module 2 for determining type of fabric of sleeves and legs and accordingly an amount of temperature required for performing ironing is determined and which is monitored by a temperature sensor, and a display unit 4 for displaying notification for preventing fabric from being burning."
